PayPal users have been receiving emails from the company regarding a data breach that involved password resets and unauthorized transactions in July of last year.
The incident involved an attacker gaining access to PayPal’s systems and retaining access for approximately 5 months. Around 100 PayPal users were reportedly impacted by the attack with their names, contact information, business addresses, SSNs, and dates of birth potentially being accessed by the hacker.

Wall Street giants Mercer Advisors and Beacon Pointe Advisors have had millions of records of data leaked on the dark web after the ShinyHunters extortion gang gave the companies a 48-hour ultimatium to meet their demands.
The leaked information includes names, contact information, full or partial SSNs, addresses, emergency contacts, training documents, client contracts, and other legal documents.

Norton Healthcare will pay out $11 million to those impacted by the attack, giving members of the class action payouts between $5 and $2,500 depending on if they have documented experiences of out-of-pocket losses.
