After Alaska Airlines faced a major IT outage last week, forcing the company to ground and cancel flights, the airline was hit with yet another outage this week due to the global disruption of Microsoft Azure.

Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines use Azure to host some of their services, and this outage affected many of their systems, namely the company’s websites and online check-in abilities for passengers. As of Thursday (October 30, 2025) the airline announced that its systems should be back online and any other impacted services will be back up and running once Microsoft resolves the issue with Azure.

Claims of a massive data breach (546GB worth of data) on Brazilian youth nonprofit, Gerar, have appeared on a popular data leak site.

The sample data shown in the posts includes scanned IDs, contracts, military service documents, names, medical checkup records, contact information, birthdates, tax ID numbers, family income, and educational data. This leak is particularly concerning due to Gerar being a youth-focused non-profit, meaning that the data likely pertains to young individuals seeking internships and employment with the company’s assistance.
