Trellix Source Code Compromised
Global cybersecurity firm Trellix has disclosed that they are actively investigating a recent incident in which hackers gained access to “a portion” of the company’s source code.
Upon discovering the unauthorized access, Trellix immediately started investigating, and as of now, says there are no signs of the source code being exploited or altered.

Roku Lawsuit
A lawsuit has been filed against Roku and TCL, claiming that a series of updates pushed to Roku TVs has introduced problems to the devices, leaving some completetly unusable.
Roku says the claims are “meritless,” but customers state that these firmware updates have created ongoing issues such as freezing, restart loops, losing picture output, and in some cases, failing to turn on. The number of customers affected by these issues has not yet been confirmed, but the lawsuit is seeing a jury trial with damages for those affected.

Spyware Breach of Celebrity Photos
Nearly 90,000 images containing screenshots of private messages, photos and phone usage, and more belonging to a celebrity were discovered by a security researcher in a publicly available, unsecured database.
The files appear to be taken from a now defunct stalkerware app, and exposed private conversations with influencers, friends and family, as well as contact information and partial financial details from mid 2024 to mid 2025.
The victim and the hosting provider for the database have been notified.

Canvas Breach
Instructure, parent company of learning management system (LMS) Canvas, has disclosed a breach that affects an estimated 275 million users and nearly 9,000 schools
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, but so far, it appears that the breach compromised user information and messages. ShinyHunters has taken credit for the incident, posting the LMS on their leak site with a pay or leak ultimatum.
