    SSP Email Breach

    Insurance brokerage company Sterling Seacrest Pritchard (SSP) has disclosed that it experienced a breach of its email system in August of last year. 

    With the investigation into the incident recently concluding, the company confirmed that 7,420 people were affected by the breach, but there is no evidence that the stolen data has been misused. The compromised information varies by individual but may include names and SSNs.

    Corewell Health Patients Impacted by 2024 Incident

    Corewell Health patients recently found out that they have been affected by a nearly 2-year old data breach that the health system was recently notified of. 

    In late 2024, health care consulting firm Pinnacle Holdings, LTD experienced a “disruption” affected certain systems, which they quickly took action to mitigate. Following Corewell’s recent notification of the incident, the company launched an investigation and determined that around 19,000 patients have been affected, with personal details including, name, contact information, birth dates, SSNs, government-issued ID numbers, and more being compromised.

    Cisco Source Code Stolen

    Source code belonging to Cisco and its customers has been stolen during a recent cyberattack in which hackers used stolen credentials to access the company’s systems. 

    This incident is related to the recent supply chain attack on Trivy, and involved a malicious GitHub Action plugin that was used to steal credentials, multiple AWS keys, and clone over 300 GitHub repositories.

    Claude Code Leaked

    Anthropic, developer of popular AI assistant Claude, accidentally leaked part of Claude’s internal source code.  

    The company states that no customer information was exposed, and this leak was due to human error. This is the company’s second major incident in less than a week.
