Comcast Xfinity Settlement
Over 35 million Xfinity customers, both former and current, who were affected by the large 2023 breach on the company can claim their share of the $11.75 million settlement by filing a claim before August 14th of this year.
The class-action lawsuit that led to this settlement accuses Comcast of failing to secure customer data and violating the federal Cable Act. Comcast alleges they have done nothing wrong, but agreed to settle.

Hasbro Class Action
Hasbro recently fell victim to a data breach after unauthorized access was detected within its network in late March of this year.
The incident did not stop Hasbro’s business functions, and the company quickly activated its security incident protocols to contain the incident, with an investigation being launched into the unauthorized access.
The class-action lawsuit claims that “hundreds” of employees and customers are harmed by this incident, having their information exposed to hackers.

Vercel Data Being Sold By Hackers
Hackers claim to have breached cloud development platform Vercel and are attempting to sell the stolen data.
The company stated that only a “limited subset of customers” was affected by the incident. Investigation is currently ongoing and steps have been taken to protect customers.

Frost & Citizens Targeted
Two major US banks, Frost Bank and Citizens Financial Group, have been listed on the Everest ransomware gang’s leak site after information from both banks was extracted from a third-party vendor by a threat actor.
The stolen data may include SSNs, TINs, names, financial information, home addresses, income, account numbers, and more.
