Employee Spotlight ~ Zach Holt

This month, we get to know Zach Holt, a systems technician here at Platte River Networks. Zach has been with us for 4 months working with Help Desk Support on Team Gunnison. The thing he likes most about his job is the research and resolution aspect, where you can always learn more about the IT needs of a business. He also loves the family-oriented and supportive nature of Platte River Networks.

Prior to joining the PRN Team, Zach worked as a 911 Dispatcher, Firefighter and EMT, and fire dispatcher. He is originally from Denver and attended Horizon High School as well as the Community College of Aurora for his EMT Certification. He is currently attending Red Rocks Community College for his Associates of Applied Science in Cyber Security. His background in dispatch and emergency services really helped him when he started on Triage for Platte River.

When Zach is not working, he likes to go boating, boogie-boarding, snorkeling, and shelling (when he’s near the coast of course). He also enjoys shooting, golfing, studying, and watching the Colorado home teams, the Avalanche, and the Broncos. His favorite book is American Sniper and his favorite movie is the Matrix saga.

Zach is happiest when he is with his family, or on a beach of course. His whole family are natives of Colorado (which is rare these days)! When asked if he could be anyone or anything, he says “Future Me.” Meaning, he strives every day to be better than he was yesterday so he is motivated to see what he can achieve during his lifetime. He wants to be successful in life and provide a very comfortable life for his family that they all can enjoy and set a good legacy for his sons to appreciate.
