On this month’s employee spotlight, we get to learn a little bit about Todd Younkin, a Service Delivery Technician for Platte River Networks who has been with us for just over a year. Todd loves to help people solve their issues quickly and efficiently, which is why he thrives in this environment. His favorite part about working at PRN is that he gets to work with people that share the same common goal of addressing the client’s needs. He enjoys being able to learn and grow from his teammates as well.
Todd was born in Mitchell, South Dakota, and then came to Denver from Pennsylvania in 2016. In his younger years, he took a job parking cars at Penn State University during football season. He got free food and a free ticket to the home football games, which was pretty impressive. He has also worked as a Systems Technician at Magnolia Hotels in Denver as well as a Desktop Support Technician at Sotiris in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
His wife Jacqueline and three girls, Caitlyn, Brianna, and Haylee are what makes him happiest. Todd also has 2 Chihuahuas, Beethoven and Lucy. His father, Dennis, is who he admires the most, that is beside his favorite superhero, Iron Man, of course. In his spare time, Todd loves to watch movies and his favorite is The Hunt for Red October.
A fun fact about Todd’s family is that they immigrated from Junghen, German and the folks at Ellis Island adjusted it, making their last name Younkin.
Todd’s favorite motto is, “You don’t have to be crazy to work here, but it sure helps” (We’re not sure what he is talking about!)
One of Todd’s childhood aspirations was to be an astronaut, and if he could be anything now, it would be a fighter pilot. For now, we enjoy having him as a Service Delivery Technician at PRN.
