This month, we get to know Saadiq Hassan, a Specialist on Team Animas that has been with us for 10 months. Saadiq serves as an escalation point, providing an extra layer of support between the techs and engineers. His favorite part of the job is the joy he experiences from solving a difficult problem and making someone else’s day. He also enjoys the companionship and fun environment that PRN provides.
Saadiq is originally from Los Angeles, and received his Bachelor’s Degree in IT from CSU Global. Prior to joining the PRN team, he was enlisted in the Airforce where he was an RF specialist and worked on missile warning and defense systems. That led him to work in the pentagon. He has also been a door-to-door salesman, Water Tech-Hach, and a carny at the Santa Monica Pier.
When he’s not working, Saadiq enjoys sports like football, Aussie Rules football, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Golf. He also enjoys snowboarding, wake surfing, cooking, hiking, and video games. Saadiq is happiest when he is anywhere near a beach, especially back home. He comes from a large family and has around 80+ cousins, 20 of which are first cousins. He has a boxer named Lana.
Saadiq’s life motto is the 5 P’s: Prior Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance. (That’s a good one!) His favorite book is My Grandfather’s Son and his favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Blue Streak, and Mulan. His favorite superhero is Iron Man and he admires Greg Bonnan and John Montanaro.
