This month, we feature Rebecca Maniatis, our HR Generalist at Platte River Networks. Rebecca is involved in everything from recruiting, benefits, and interviewing, to supporting Senior Management and the team of employees. She loves the variety the position provides as well as the support she receives from the entire company!
Prior to joining the PRN team, Rebecca worked for Walgreens for 21 years. She took a leap into HR where she has worked as an HR Administrator and HR Manager before becoming a Generalist at PRN! She received her SHRM-CP in 2021 and got her certification in Human Resources Management and Services from Villanova University in 2020. Before that, she got a BFA in Dance and a minor in Business Management from Stephens College in 1998. She actually used to teach dance part-time to children and adults. One of her hidden talents is choreographing dances. In fact, as a child, she wanted to own her own dance studio and have wonderful teachers share their gift of teaching to people of all ages. Her favorite motto is “Merde!”, which if you come from a dance culture, you’ll know what that means!
Rebecca is a Colorado native (Yes, they do still exist!) and has lived in several mountain towns, including Estes Park where she graduated high school. She has a Great Pyrenes named Josie and a pug named Merlin. She is happiest when she is with her partner and best friend, Nick, snuggling with her pups, visiting family and friends, anything outdoors, traveling, or dance/theatre productions/music venues. She loves to kayak, take naps, and sing to her dogs. Current, she is busy picking out cabinets, light fixtures, and everything else that goes into a Kitchen remodel.
If Rebecca could have one superpower, it would be the ability to clean and fold laundry without actually having to do it. (Sounds great to me!)
