This month, we introduce Nick Suzuki, a Specialist for Team Animas at Platte River Networks. Nick has been with us for almost 7 months and is an escalation point for the team, and handles the more challenging tickets. He loves the technical challenge and variety of work that he deals with. He finds it rewarding to be able to solve problems or come up with solutions to make the technology experience better. Prior to PRN, Nick worked at an eDiscovery company as an IT Engineer. He has also worked as a Professional Services Engineer for another MSP company, similar to PRN. Nick started college pursuing a computer science degree, then started taking certification training courses in Microsoft products and networking. From those courses, he knew he wanted to work in IT. After obtaining his Microsoft and CompTia certifications, Nick started his career path in IT.
When Nick isn’t at work, he enjoys golfing and the occasional motorcycle ride when he has time. He is happiest when he can spend a nice day walking the golf course, having a few beers with friends, or in a tropical climate hanging out by the beach or pool. Nick has 3 cats, Pumpkin, Frank, and Beans. In fact, he said since he has been working at home more, he would like to trade places with one of his cats.
When he was a child, Nick wanted to be a professional skateboarder. It was one of his original hobbies, but he’s not too sure he would have the balance needed for that now. The person he admires most is Bill Gates, post Microsoft. His favorite book is Anathem by Neal Stephenson and his favorite movie is O; Brother, Where Art Thou? And if he had to pick, his favorite superhero is Captain America.
Nick’s favorite motto is, “Measure twice, cut once.” That sounds like a good motto to us! We are so happy to have Nick as a member of our team here at Platte River Networks.
