This month, we get to meet Mikaela Norgard, a Premium Plus Technician at Platte River Networks. Mikaela has been with PRN for 8 months and is currently working as an on-site technician for a law firm in Fargo, ND. She loves the everyday challenges and that each day is completely different. She also loves being a part of the PRN team, even though she is the only technician on her team that is out of state.
Mikaela graduated from Minnesota State University with a bachelor’s in Computer Information Technology and a CRM Certificate. She did her internship at Lake Regional Hospital where she worked on a project to build the profiles, and deploy desktop and laptop stations, for the entire clinic wing. She also was a Theater Music teacher in college for K-12 and helped with lights and sound at Oak Grove High School in Fargo ND.
Mikaela’s favorite book is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and her favorite movie is either Princess Bride, or The Greatest Showman. During the summer, you can find Mikaela on the lake doing water sports such as surfing, sailing, and wakeboarding. During the winter, she spends all her free time downhill skiing. In fact, if she could do anything, she would live in the mountains of Colorado and ski every day. Mikaela has a 4-year old chocolate lab named Oleana.
The person Mikaela admires the most is her Grandma Carol who has worked hard for everything and is always there whenever anyone needs her. Mikaela loves to go to her house after work and hang out whether to cook dinner or just sit and talk. Mikaela’s motto is “Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day.”
