This month, we get to know Jeffrey Ux, an onsite IT Technician for Platte River Networks. Jeffrey runs the day-to-day support for 150 users and is the boots on the ground for the rest of the PRN team at Galloway. He has been with the team for four months and he enjoys being onsite as he gets to spend most of his time face-to-face with the users that he supports.  This allows him to build relations past just technical support and establish an overall better working dynamic between vendor and client.

Jeffrey holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from San Francisco University. Before starting at PRN, Jeffrey had many interesting jobs including a Team Lead for Tier 1 Support team (1500 users), a Grassroots Team lead for the Gavin Newsom for Governor of California campaign, and was Newsroom script runner and footage finder for KTVU.

Jeffrey is an only child from Manteca, a town in the California Central Valley. He loves being outdoors and some of his favorite activities include mountain biking, road cycling, photography, rock climbing, and hiking. In fact, he is happiest when he is somewhere new. He’s seen the largest ball of twine in Kansas and the Giant Meteor Crater in New Mexico, if that gives you any indication of his adventurous spirit. Ever since he was a child, he has always wanted to go on new adventures and new experiences. His life motto is, “Give it a try. What’s the worst that could happen?”

Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance is Jeffrey’s favorite book and his favorite movie is between Shawshank Redemption and Casino. His favorite superheroes are the Ninja Turtles. If he could be anything, Jeffrey would be a bird of prey, specifically a Peregrine falcon or Osprey. Jeffrey looks up to his father and admires his determination and grit.

We definitely enjoyed getting to know more about Jeffrey and are glad he is a part of the PRN team.
