This month, we get to know Danielle Thompson, a system specialist at PRN. Danielle has been with us since October 2018 but has been in IT for over 12 years. Before coming to PRN, Danielle worked as a System Technician at ATA, Anaren, PRN, and Raymour and has been a field support tech at Raymour and PRN. She was also an assistant manager at The Spice and Tea in Idaho Springs, where she says she got to learn about the different teas and learn about making spice blends. Her favorite is the Steakhouse Grinder. (We’ll have to do a taste test!)
Danielle has an Associates in Computer Information Systems, a Bachelors in Technology Network Administrator, and is currently expanding her knowledge by takingĀ A+, O365, and Security + Certifications. As a System Specialist at PRN, Danielle works on escalation tickets and manages services along with project documentation. Her favorite part of the job is being able to help people. She learns something new every day and if she is able to teach that to a client or another team member, that makes her the happiest. She also loves the team atmosphere at PRN, where you can always reach out to a fellow team member if needed.
Danielle is originally from Oswego, NY, right off of Lake Ontario. She met her husband in middle school and they have been together 21 years and married 7. They have two fur-children, Dude, an 8-year old male American Bully and Frankie, a 14-year-old American Pitbull.
In her free time, Danielle loves to bowl, race go-karts, golf, go to concerts or the hot springs. She is happiest when she is on a roller coaster, with the sun shining. Her favorite motto is, “It is what it is. If you can’t change it, there’s no reason to stress over it.” She also believes in “Live, Laugh Love: You should live your life, laugh often, and love always.” What great life mottos! She admires Shania Twain or Reba McEntire and if she could be anything, she would be a teacher or a nurse. Her favorite movies are Dirty Dancing and all of the Fast and Furious movies because she loves watching fast cars.
