Employee Spotlight: Ben Allen

This month we are spotlighting Ben Allen, a Business Development Executive here at Platte River Networks. Ben has been with us since October and helps find businesses that want to sleep well at night knowing that their security and business continuity are a high priority. He helps connect people with needs to the experts that can address those needs. Ben loves his job and enjoys working on relationships with people and customers.

Before joining PRN, Ben has had over 35 years of technical experience. He was the CIO of the Price Waterhouse Audit Business Unit and the President of Allen Technology Advising from 1999 to 2018. Before that, his first sales job was selling flowers to people in his condominium association. He created databases for nonprofits to use when he was 16. He also did landscaping and framed houses. Needless to say, he has worked many jobs that have all led him to where he is today.

Ben is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is married and has 4 children ages 23, 21, 19 and 16. But he has also had 10 exchange students as well. They have a dog named Frank the Wonderdog. He loves to snowboard, travel, and volunteer. His favorite book is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, and his favorite movie is Deadpool, which also happens to be his favorite superhero. Ben’s favorite motto is, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”

Besides his wife, Ben admires his best friend Chad, who has been his friend since the 6th grade. He serves as an uncle to Ben’s children, he is a good husband, employer, and a person that has always been a rock in his life.

We’re happy to have Ben on the PRN team!
