Employee Spotlight: Aaron Mello

This month we get to know Aaron Mello, a Premium Plus Technician here at Platte River Networks. Aaron has been with us for 10 months and loves being able to learn how systems work and the freedom he has to devise and implement solutions for our customers.

Prior to joining PRN, Aaron worked in several different fields. He graduated from the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver and ran a private practice called MoodFood Clinic where he used nutrition to help men treat depression and anxiety naturally. As someone who suffered through severe bipolar depression in his 20’s, he used nutrition to recover and heal himself which led him to ultimately help other men going through similar circumstances. He has also worked in machine shops, IT for healthcare, mining, and other industries. His first job was building computers for a mom-and-pop computer store when he was 15.

Aaron enjoys camping, backpacking, and shooting at the gun range. He likes to explore new places and take road trips. He is happiest when he is in the mountains hiking or camping. Currently, he is in the process of converting to Orthodox Christianity so he spends a lot of time reading and studying the faith, and going to church. The person Aaron most admires is Roosh V, a former pick-up artist who became an orthodox Christian and now spends his life spreading the faith. He admires him because he is courageous and speaks the truth. If Aaron could be anything, he would be a mentor to men who helps them rise to their fullest potential and lead their families and communities well.

Aaron is originally from Dallas, TX. He and his wife moved to Denver with no job, no place to live, and left all their belongings in Texas. They camped in Cherry Creek State Park for a week or so until they found an apartment and eventually brought the rest of their stuff out. Sounds like an adventure! They have a goofy Russian Blue cat named Olive, which they have nicknamed the “Rabbit Assassin.”

“People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it,” is Aaron’s favorite motto in life.

We are happy to have Aaron on our PRN Team!
