Randy asks: “I’m installing the Outlook Social Connector for Outlook 2010 but one of the social network providers isn’t installing. I am getting an error saying that the Outlook Social Connector was not found. Is there a work-around for this?”

Randy,

If the Outlook Social Connector add-in has been deselected during the installation of Outlook 2010, the provider will not install. To address the issue follow these steps:

1. Open the Windows Control Panel, and then click Program and Features.
2. In the Program and Features dialog box, select Microsoft Office 2010 and then click Change.
3. In the Microsoft Office 2010 setup dialog select Add or Remove Features and then click Continue.
4. In the Installation Options dialog, click Microsoft Outlook, click Outlook Add-Ins, and then click Outlook Social Connector.
5. Select Run from My Computer, and then click Continue.
6. Finish the Microsoft Office 2010 configuration process and restart Outlook.
